美国犹他州立大学招收2020年春季交通方向全奖博士

PhD Assistantship in Transportation Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Utah State University Position Summary: The Utah State University, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has two immediate PhD assistantships available with focus in transportation. Graduate applications for Spring 2020 are currently being accepted. The selected candidates will be hired by Dr. Ziqi Song’s research group focusing on (1) transportation network modeling of emerging technologies, such as electric vehicles, and connected and autonomous vehicles, (2) applications of machine learning in the analysis of big transportation data. Dr. Song’s research group has been funded by various federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), and state agencies, such as Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). Dr. Song has published more than 40 papers in SCI/SSCI indexed journals. Primary Responsibility: Primary responsibilities will include conducting research in a number of sponsored projects from the state and federal agencies. Duties may include to work on variety of transportation research topics using optimization and statistical techniques. The selected applicants will be able to work on projects with the Utah Transportation Center (UTC), which has strong collaborations with major universities and close ties with government organizations. Qualifications: The candidate should feel comfortable implementing algorithms and processing data in at least one general-purpose programming language. Experience with optimization and statistical software package is an advantage. Compensation: Full-funded PhD assistantship includes competitive research assistantship, full tuition wavier and health insurance. Application Deadline: September 30, 2019.
