Looking for PhD students at University of Hong Kong The Shin Group is looking for at least two Ph.D graduate students in the fall of 2019. Prospective graduate students interesting in pursuing PhD program at HKU can contact Dong-Myeong to discuss research in our lab, PhD program and career in academia. The Shin Group is primarily based on the University of Hong Kong campus in the Haking Wong Building, and the members of our group are associated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering. We are looking for highly motivated young scientists and engineers. Anyone interested in the field of Energy and Environmental Science should get on board. Feel free to reach out. In order to realize the wearable and implantable human activity trackers for future technology, we have developed the main components of which, including the flexible and stretchable energy harvesting devices, the energy storage devices, and bioinspired biosensor. Herein, we have devoted to developing the self-powered wearable and implantable nanoelectronics, with an emphasis on important components such as energy harvesting/storage devices and bioinspired sensors. The proposed research has focused on: (1) the development of flexible and stretchable energy harvesting devices in which piezoelectric and triboelectric materials facilitate the energy harvesting from renewable sources, and (2) the development of flexible and stretchable energy storage devices to integrate into wearable and implantable electronics. Lastly, (3) the development of the bio-inspired biosensors which are operational in the range of micro-milli Watt. In doing so, we hope to address the challenges facing wearable and implantable technology. To reach out detail information, please visit our group website (https://sites.google.com/site/dmshingroup/Home). 香港大学网页：https://hub.hku.hk/cris/rp/rp02569 香港大学机械工程系网页：https://me.hku.hk/index.php?cid= ... _info&id=97 导师简介： Dong-Myeong Shin教授，现任香港大学机械工程助理教授。釜山国立大学分布获得本科、硕士、博士学位。在韩国釜山大学，Dong-Myeong的研究集中在电容式生物传感器、压电和摩擦电纳米发电机中糖的玻璃态动力学。2016年，他加入釜山大学能源融合技术研究中心(Research Center for Energy Convergence Technology, RCECT)，担任博士后研究员，主要研究生物传感器。2017年在釜山大学获得博士和博士后学位后，他以博士后学者的身份来到加州大学伯克利分校(University of California, Berkeley)。他的研究致力于开发用于电池应用的单离子导电网络聚合物。在2019年的夏天，Dong-Myeong在香港大学机械工程系成立自己的课题组，他的课题组致力于发展自供电的纳米电子学及其相关的功能器件，如能量收集/存储设备和bioinspired电子产品。 他的课题组正在筹建当中，科研经费充足，急需学生，欢迎大家踊跃报名！ 有兴趣者Email：dmshin@hku.hk。或者也可以站内短信联系我，我也会给你们提供力所能及的帮助以及一些详细信息。  无标题.jpg |
