第一次投ACS，收到主编邮件，求帮助 已有2人参与

昨天刚投的ACS的IE&CR，今天就收到了主编的邮件，不敢贸然回复，求前辈指导。 第一封： Thank you for submitting your manuscript to Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research. We are unable to process your manuscript as we have noted the following missing/incomplete information. -SI PUB FILE SUBMITTED AS SI REVIEW FILE: We noticed that your Supporting Information file is currently uploaded with the file designation "Supporting Information for Review." If you wish to have this file published online alongside the manuscript, it must have the file designation "Supporting Information for Publication.” Please let us know if you would like the file designation updated for publication. Please address the above issue(s) by responding to this email. We look forward to your response. 请问应如何回复邮件，直接说修改SI为 "Supporting Information for Publication.”？还是需要解释原因。 第二封： We note that your manuscript contains tables that may be more appropriately placed in SUPPORTING INFORMATION in accord with the policy described below. We ask you to consider what should be placed in SUPPORTING INFORMATION and be prepared to reformat your manuscript accordingly. Please wait until the review process is completed and revision is requested to make these changes. Of course, this should be done at the outset for any future submissions. Our editorial team will base decisions on manuscript acceptance with this objective in mind. Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research is making a concerted effort to streamline the content of papers we publish, for the convenience of our readers, by limiting the body of the papers to the most essential content needed by the average reader. Material that is of interest to a smaller number of readers should be included in SUPPORTING INFORMATION. A main part of this strategy concerns tables, and from the beginning of 2012 our Author Guidelines now contains the following statement: ********** Tables included in the text of papers should be short and limited to those needed by the average reader to understand the research reported. Such tables should not duplicate information included in the figures. Number tables in their order of mention in the text, by use of Arabic numbers. Long tables of data or other information that may be of value to a limited number of more-interested readers can be included as SUPPORTING INFORMATION, … ********** SUPPORTING INFORMATION is available online at the same place that a reader would download the body of the paper. Thus, the interested reader can easily access this information, but the average reader will not have to see all this information. 这封邮件是否需要回复呢？ 感谢前辈不吝赐教。 |
