After review. the editor's final decision was to decline the manuscript with encouragement to resubmit. For your guidance, you will find below the reviewer's comments identifying those elements of the manuscript that prevent its acceptance by the Journal. We realize that it takes a great deal of time and effort to prepare a paper for submission and we thank you for choosing the Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering for submission of your work. If you choose to resubmit, the manuscript will receive a new manuscript number and be treated as a new submission to the journal. 这篇文章一审的时候，审稿人是大同行，提的都是一些环境方面，很难去回答的问题，而且要求转为technical note。一审回复的时候，我主要是在回复信中引入文献去说明，同时由于要缩减篇幅，没有在修改稿中指出这些问题。结果二审被拒，审稿人对其中几个问题的回复不满意，坚持认为应该作进一步研究进行验证。但是进一步的研究是一个很大的试验过程，时间不允许，不可能进行补充实验，所以很纠结。想知道如果尽力修改，在cover letter中解释无法进一步研究的原因，重投还有希望吗？拜托各位了 |

关键是很难修改啊，审稿人对一审存在的几个问题抓住不放，我如果按照要求去补充完善，要花很长时间，完全可以形成另外一篇论文了。又让我重新投成technical note，篇幅不能长，所以很纠结。 发自小木虫Android客户端 |
