Researcher_R-022728 申请截至日期：19年8月29日 咨询：yuxu@pvamu.edu The Thermo-Fluids Research Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) seeks one post-doctoral researcher with an interest in high-pressure combustion and experience in setting up benchtop experiments and/or conducting numerical simulations of thermal systems. The candidate will work closely with researchers in the newly formed Center for High Pressure Combustion in Microgravity funded by NASA and collaborate with NASA Glenn Research Center, Cornell University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Auburn University to conduct original experimental and computational research in high-pressure combustion of liquid fuels. The candidate will also supervise undergraduate and graduate research assistants and produce technical papers in peer-reviewed journals. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or other relevant engineering or science disciplines. An ideal candidate would have prior experience with combustion experiments, detailed numerical simulations, and/or laser diagnostics. Candidates should have the ability to work as a member of a team, and lead and organize teams comprised of graduate and undergraduate students. The position is available immediately and requires a 1-year commitment with the possibility of renewal depending upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funds. The annual salary for this position is $50,000 (plus medical insurance & benefits).
