Dear Bob and Jane, We are hoping that you have not arranged to do anything on the weekend of July 24th, and will come to spend this weekend here, at our hometown. It’s beautiful here now, with everything in bloom! We have also invited the Smiths. So if you can make it, bring your tennis rackets and we can enjoy some good tennis together. There’s a very good train Friday afternoon; we’ve marked it in red on the timetable. It gets you here about 7:30, which is just in time for dinner. You can get a late train back to suzhou on Sunday night, or there’s an early express that we usually take on Monday morning. We hope nothing will prevent you from coming. Please let us know what train you’re taking so that we’ll meet you at xihu station. With love, xiaowang and xiaozhang (Write a letter of acceptance to the invitation.
