表面改性的研究已有较长的时间,不仅成为表面化学中的热门课题,也是界面工程中的重要研究课题之一。表面改性的方法有很多,总体上分为化学法和物理法。表面化学改性是通过表面改性剂与物质表面进行化学反应或化学吸附的方式完成改性,从而改变固体表面的润湿性、界面张力、及电性质等物理化学性质。这是目前生产中应用最为广泛的改性方法之一。
界面改性往往根据特定的应用背景和应用领域而进行,表面改性剂改性对固体表面性质的影响有许多问题值得探讨,它在各方面的实际应用更为重要。界面改性的研究与推广应用极大地推动了化工、材料和矿产资源等领域的技术进步,多年来的研究与实际生产应用,创造了巨大的经济和社会效益。

Study on surface modification, which has been performed a long time, was a key topic not only in surface chemistry but also interface engineering. A great many of methods could be used for surface modification, as a whole, which mainly included chemical and physical method. The surface chemical modification was carried out by means of chemical reaction or adsorption between surface modifier and substance surface, and so as to physical-chemical property of solid surface such as humidification, interfacial tension, and electrical property as well. This was one of the most extensive modification methods.

Surface Modification,a hot topics in the surface chemistry, at the same time an important research issue in the interfacial engineers, has been researched for a long time. there are mainly chemical and physical methods of Surface modification. Chemical method modificate the material surface with chemical reaction or Physical adsorption manner in order to change the physical and chemical properties of the materials surface such as the wet-ability, the interfacial tension. Chemical modification is the most widely used in the industry.
Interface modification are different according to the context and area of specific applications, there are many issues worth looking into in the surface modification, and all aspects in its practical application should be cared. Interfacial Modification promote technological progress developing in  the use of the chemical, materials and mineral resources.
The research and actual production applications, has created a huge economic and social benefits.

Interface modification was carried out according to a special application background and fields. And, lots of questions about the effect of surface modifier on solid surface properties were worth to be investigated. Its application in many fields was much more important. Study and spread application on interface modification significantly improved technical advance in the fields of chemical, material, and mineral resources so on. And the studies and practical application for many years have created not only economical but social efficiency.
