postdoctoral fellow position this postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available to work on hypertension, obesity, childhood obesity, cardiovascular and metabolic disease in humans with a focus on nutritional factors, biomarkers, inflammation, aging, genomics/epigenomics, and metabolomics. the successful candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary and well-recognized team including biolomedical, biostatistical, epidemiologic, clinical trial and population health sciences expertise, and will have opportunities to conduct research with large regional and national cohorts/databases and interventional studies under the guidance and supervision of multi-principal investigators, as well as will publish results in scientific journals from ongoing nih- or aha- funded studies. experiences or skills in epidemiological or biostatistical or bioinformatics analyses are preferred but not essential. the georgia prevention institute at medical college of georgia, augusta university is a multidisciplinary clinical translational research institute with collaborative research initiatives, friendly working environment, and extensive postdoctoral development opportunities. the institute is home to nationally recognized faculty with specialties ranging from genetics, epigenetics, physiology, cardiology, psychology, epidemiology, nutrition, to clinical trials and community engagement. numerous nationally recognized nih and aha-funded research projects are ongoing at the georgia prevention institute. salary to be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate. for more information visit http://www.au.edu/institutes/gpi/ or contact dr. yanbin dong at (706) 721-5014 or ydong@augusta.edu |
