Thank you again for your submission to the Journal of Materials Science and for your patience with our review process. I received two initial reports on your work after a few rounds of invitations to prospective reviewers. The reports differed a lot in their recommendation, so I sought a third referee to act as an arbitrator. Based on their aggregated comments I cannot accept this submission for publication. Normally, I would transfer a submission like this to another journal from our published, but the referees did not agree to have their submissions transferred. Therefore, based on the recommendation of the third reviewer, I would be willing to accept a later resubmission if you can address all the comments from the third referee and make a strong case for the novelty of this work. I suggest, however, that this work is a better fit with the Journal of Porous Materials and a resubmission may still be transferred there. I have also included some minor points after my signature. If you resubmit, please include a note in the details box of the online submission form that this is a re-written version of JMSC-D-19-00654 and that it should go to my attention. In your cover letter, please note how you addressed my comments and be sure to state the novelty of the work. You do not need to highlight the changes in your manuscript. Whichever your choice, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. |
