the experimental study on the influence of adsorption shows that the COD removal is mainly due to its catalytic effect on ozonization process. The influence of pH value on the catalysis was also investigated, showing that in comparison with a pure ozonization process the catalytic system works better at acidic conditions. Fe3O4-CoO/Al2O3 obviously has a catatlytic activity on the decomposition of ozone in water. Its rate constant for ozone decomposition reaches 3.370 × 10-3s-1, significantly higher than that of pure ozone in double distilled water , 1.380 × 10-3s-1 .
