香港城市大学理学院2019夏令营（面向有意申请PhD的同学）

夏令营提供给同学们一个了解在香港读博和生活的机会，可以体验香港城市大学的文化和氛围，学校会提供住宿、餐费和交通补助，欢迎有意向的同学提交申请，具体可参考以下介绍及附件。 date: 8-12 july 2019 highlights of activities: campus tour, laboratory visits, research seminars, excursion programme, introduction of research degree programmes at cityu, meeting with supervisors, etc. what we offer to our campers? • meal vouchers of up to hk$100 per day (for all participants) • 5-night on-campus accommodation (for non-local participants only) • travel subsidy of up to hk$3,000 upon successful completion of the 5-day programme (for non-local participants only) who can apply? local and non-local students who: 1. are currently undertaking (in his/her final year of study in 2019/20) or hold a higher degree by research/master's degree/bachelor's degree in chemistry, mathematics, physics and related disciplines; 2. attained a gpa of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or 87.5%)*; 3. have fulfilled cityu's english proficiency requirement#; and 4. intend to apply for admission to cityu's phd programmes in 2020/21. *special consideration will be given to candidates from countries adopting different scoring scale/systems, e.g. u.k. #a minimum total toefl score of 550 (paper-based test) or 79 (internet-based); or a minimum ielts score of 6.5; or other test scores that may be regarded as equivalent; or a minimum score of 490 in the chinese mainland's college english test band 6 may be accepted. how to apply? application deadline: 31 may 2019 1. submit the completed summer camp application form to the respective academic departments; and department of chemistry: chem.enquiry@cityu.edu.hk department of mathematics: marpgs@cityu.edu.hk department of physics: phy.go@cityu.edu.hk 2. submit an online application for cityu research degree programme 更多信息：https://www.cityu.edu.hk/csci/ac ... phd-admissions-2020  poster_cityu_science summer camp 2019-1.png |
