英国爱丁堡大学博后招聘

Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position --Intelligent multiphase flow sensing and big data analysis-- A three-year postdoctoral fellowship opportunity with Dr. Yunjie Yang at the University of Edinburgh is currently available. The position is co-funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fund and data-driven innovation programme. The appointed Research Fellow will undertake high-quality research in multi-modal flow sensing data analysis using machine learning. The candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a clearly related area. A good publication record demonstrating an excellent research background in one or more of machine learning, image/signal processing, multiphase flow sensing, process tomography, and scientific programming is required. The candidate should have good communication skills and the capability of working collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines or technical background. Experience in deep learning and inverse problems will be considered as a plus. The research will be in close collaboration with industrial partners. Successful applicants will benefit from: • appointed to a 3-year contract at Grade 7 of the academic scale (￡32,548 - ￡38,833). • receive an annual research allowance of ￡6000. • receive an annual travel allowance of ￡2,500. • relocation support, in line with the University procedures for employees of grade 8 and higher. In order to be eligible, candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria: • applicants must have spent a maximum of 12 of the last 36 months living in the UK. • applicants must either have a Ph.D. or 4 years of research experience. • applicants must have no more than ten years’ experience since defending their Ph.D. (career breaks for parental leave, sickness absence or army service are excluded).
