As shown in Fig. X, the presence of ClO4− (10 mmol) enhanced the RhB degradation, revealing that there existed a strong inner-sphere interaction between the S2O8- and the active sites on the catalyst surface. The enhanced oxidation efficiency may due to the high oxidation potential of perchlorate (1.389 V). However, the presence of 10 mmol NO3−, HCO3− or H2PO4− exhibited different degrees of inhibition effect. These anions are considered as radical(such as SO4•− quenchers.
