孟菲斯大学计算机系全奖博士生

The department of computer science ( www.cs.memphis.edu ) has been ranked 60th among cs departments with federally funded research. The department has 2 IEEE fellows, an ACM distinguished speaker, and the first state‐endowed chair of excellence in computer science in Tennessee. Memphis ranked as America's 6th best city for jobs by Glassdoor in 2017. Memphis metropolitan area has a population of 1.3 million. It boasts a vibrant culture and has a pleasant climate with an average temperature of 63 degrees (F). Position I: database/data mining We are inviting applications for Ph.D. scholarships on graph data management research, working on one of the two following projects: (1) million-core level GPU-accelerated graph computing; (2) automated optimization of graph databases. - Required qualification and experience: (1) applicants will hold or be close to completing an honor or master of philosophy degree in computer science and engineering; (2) strong c++ or java programming skills, practice in distributed/parallel computing will be a plus; (3) familiar with graph algorithms, experience with RDBMS or NoSQL development will be a plus; (4) prior publications in DB/DM/ML conferences will be a plus; (5) GRE + TOEFL/IELTS required Interested candidates are invited to send the cv and academic transcripts to xiaofei zhang at xiaofei.zhang@memphis.edu.
