Applied Sciences journal is currently running a Special Issue entitled "Novel Coatings for Cultural Heritage Protection" (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/applsci) that may be of interest to you.
As Guest Editors of the Special Issue, we cordially invite you to submit a feature contribution (i.e., either a long review or research paper), which would be published, free of charge, (in Open Access) in this Special Issue.
We encourage you to check out the Special Issue website at:

The official deadline for submission is 31 October 2019. You may send your manuscript either now or by the deadline. Your submission should not have been previously published, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Applied Sciences (ISSN 2076-3417) is an international peer-reviewed open access journal on all aspects of applied natural sciences. The journal is indexed by SCIE, EI, Scopus, and gets high visibility. The 2017 impact factor is 1.689.

Special Issue和普通论文都是SCI收录么~有没有不一样的地方啊，而且 Special Issue是不是更容易录用啊
