[交流] 德国两个关于地球科学与数据科学的博后项目

(1) geo.x offers 16 positions in the geo.x young academy

about geo.data science & geo.society, salary according to the german tv-l 13. 3-year phd-positions (75%) and 2-year postdoctoral positions (100%)

application deadline: 29 april 2019, 10:00 a.m. cest

proposed starting date of projects is september 1st, 2019

candidates must hold a phd degree for postdoc-position and a master's degree for phd-position. in addition they need to show strong interdisciplinary skills and for postdoc-level have independent research experience. candidates are asked to identify supervisors and colleagues they want to collaborate with.

please consider that your supervisors and collaborating colleagues should be a scientific tandem of scientists from the earth sciences and the complementary discipline of your choice. all scientists must be appointed at one of the geo.x partner institutions (awi, dlr, fu berlin, gfz, hu berlin, iass, mfn, pik, tu berlin, up). please note that you have to combine at least two different geo.x partner institutions. candidates who did their master (for phd applicants) or phd (for postdoc applicants) at one of the partner institutions must identify their first supervisor or collaborating colleague at a different institution.

(2) bridging postdoc digital earth

the digital earth project offers funding for up to two years; you will be hosted at one of the participating earth and environment research centres of the helmholtz association (see the list of centres below). the current call is open until march 31st, 2019. applicants will be informed until april 22, 2019 by the latest. a preselection of candidates will be invited to join the digital earth annual meeting that will be held from 20 to 24 may, 2019 (detailed information will be announced soon) in order to present the individual project. the attendance in the meeting of the preselected candidates is mandatory. final decision will be communicated before may 27th, 2019 with july 1st, 2019 as the earliest possible start date.

a total of 10 postdoctoral projects with duration of one or two years can be funded. each project has to be conducted in conjunction with two of the digital earth partner centres:

alfred-wegener-institute helmholtz centre for polar and marine research bremerhaven

forschungszentrum jülich

geomar helmholtz centre for ocean research kiel

helmholtz centre potsdam german research centre for geosciences

helmholtz centre geesthacht centre for materials and coastal research

karlsruhe institute of technology

helmholtz zentrum münchen german research center for environmental health

helmholtz centre for environmental research

postdoc projects: the regular weekly working hours are those of a full-time employee within the salary equivalent to tvöd-bund salary scale (details need to be discussed with the mentoring helmholtz centre).

requirements: proponents must have completed their doctorate before the start of the contract. the project must be conducted at one of the above mentioned eight centres as host centre with at least one additional digital earth centres as partner to foster a close cooperation between the cooperating centres. additional partners as universities, governmental agencies, or research institutes can come from germany or other countries in europe or abroad. start of the funding: between july 1st, 2019 (as the earliest start date) and may 31st, 2020 (as the latest start date). end of project: latest may 31st, 2021.

evaluation criteria for proposals:

60% scientific/technological quality of the proposed project,

20% match to the digital earth aims

20% sustainable impact on earth system science
