Postdoc openings on additive printing of functional devices at University of Notre Dame in USA The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab at the University of Notre Dame (A top 15 University in U.S.) directed by Prof. Yanliang Zhang have openings for Postdoc Research Associate to work on additive printing of functional devices for energy conversion, flexible electronics and sensors, and soft robotics. The successful candidate will be a key part of an interdisciplinary team working on cutting edge research using world-class research facilities. The postdoc will work on a multi-institutional research program in collaboration with leading researchers from National Labs and other top universities. Interested applicants should send the application package including cover letter, CV, and the names of at least three professional references. Desired Qualifications: • A PhD degree in materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related science and engineering discipline. • Experiences on nanoparticle based ink synthesis, printing, and/or sintering. • Experiences on device design and fabrication for energy conversion/sensing. • Experiences on instrumentation design and development is a strong plus. • A proven record of research excellence. The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab (AMEL) focuses on cutting-edge research on additive- and nano- manufacturing, advanced energy conversion and sensor technologies, and soft robotics. Prof. Zhang is a recipient of the prestigious career award from U.S. National Science Foundation. Dr. Zhang’s research work has been published on numerous scientific journals of high impact including Nature Materials, Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Energy Letters, Energy Conversion and Management, Applied Physics Letters, etc. More information about his research can be found from our lab website: https://ame.nd.edu/zhanglab.
