A sensor that produces its own power has a large role to play in the advancement of wearables, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 etc. The focus in this project is to apply this technology on machine components to give information about the operation. This could be general machine health as well as specific fault and failure signals. The aim of the project is to develop knowledge and understanding of the relationship between tribological signals and machine components working status. The PhD studies are 4 year, fulltime. Administration and/or teaching up to maximum 20% may be added. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have a master’s degree in science or engineering (mechanical engineering, mechatronics/electronics, etc.), or equivalent. Good skills in oral and written communication in English is also a requirement. The following selection criteria apply: •Background relevant to the project in question, •The quality of the applicant’s master thesis, •Personal qualities relevant to research education Given that the qualifications are equal, the underrepresented gender will be given priority in this recruitment. |
