There is an exciting opportunity arising within Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Lab, which is a joint corporate research venture between Rolls-Royce and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. To fill the current vacancy, we look forward to applications from ambitious materials scientists. Compensation: • Fixed monthly income commensurate with the candidate’s experience and capabilities. • Annual performance bonus. Required: • Doctorate in Materials Science / Physics/ Chemistry / Metallurgy. • Strong background in Materials Science / Metallurgy / Materials characterization (TEM, HRTEM, XRD etc.) / Solid chemistry. • Teamwork spirit coupled with a “can do” attitude and good communications skills. • Hand-on experience in fundamental and advanced materials characterization techniques (XRD, SEM / TEM, HRTEM etc.) • Good command of oral and written English. • The candidate has to join soon. Desirable: • Expertise in at least 2 of the following domains: (1) magnetic materials; (2) powder metallurgy; (3) corrosion protection; (4) coating techniques. • Demonstrated ability to supervise junior researchers and PhD students within the research group. • Candidate with strong publication / patent records will be preferred. • Demonstrated project leadership and ability to interact with research partners and funding agencies.
