我不评论应助贴的翻译，我就自己的理解翻一下：

原句，although和however这是语法错误，就像because... so一样，这是不能同时出现的。in the presence of 这个修饰语可以化为名词修饰语放前面。这样就会造成主语特别长。于是做了一下修改将长段落放后面。

Many researchers have reported the enhanced fluorescence in various ion-doped fluorescent nano-materials, such as such as Ag+ ions functionalized copper nanoclusters and Mn2+ doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs). However, very few reports are about the enhanced fluorescence of Pb(II) ions doped gold nanocluster.
