Research Position in Bioinformatics University of Oklahoma University Description The University of Oklahoma at Norman (OU) is a Carnegie-R1 comprehensive public research university known for excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. US News & World Report ranks OU in the top 50 (No. 41) in the "Top Public Schools – National Universities" category. Norman is a culturally rich and vibrant town located in the Oklahoma City metro area. Position Description Dr. Chongle Pan invites applications for a research position in Bioinformatics in the School of Computer Science and the Department of Microbiology and Plant Biology of the University of Oklahoma. There searcher will be mentored by Dr. Pan to conduct cutting-edge research in micro biota meta-omics, predictive genomics, and biomedical text mining. The computational approaches will include machine learning, high-performance computing, text mining, and network science. More information on Dr. Pan’s lab may be found athttp://www.omicsbio.org/ Requirements • A Ph.D.or Master degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline. • Research experience in the research areas described above. • Publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals. • Computer programming skills in Python and/or C++ • Written and spoken communication skills in English. |
