这个句子结构难一些呀。。。我说具体些，mm你看对不对呀 A unitary base plate supports the elevational segments and the central annular base segment这句是总起说unitary base plate是支持elevational segments 和central annular base segment这两个部分的。 后面的状语就是解释怎么支持这两部分的，再分解下： The base plate has an outer flange tapered inwardly and downwardly. 这是第一层意思。主语沿用主句主语：plate有一个/使一个outer flange向内并且向下变细 后面for短语就分别由biasing和having领出有这样的结构的两个用处[中间用and连接]： 1.biasing the elevational segments to position with their sides adjoining； their应该就近指elevational segments; 这里如果理解to是介词，后面position就做名词，意思是使elevational segements靠近能使其边缘连接的位置。说得通，但position前应该加the才对！；如果理解to do作目的状语，position是动词，意思是让elevational segments偏向而能在边缘连接的地方定位[说了这多发现翻译过来意思上没啥差别，汗。。。] 2.having their lower ends adjoining the central annular base segment.这个没啥问题，their依旧是elevational segments，意思是让elevational segments的lower ends能和central annular base segment相连接 这次就不勉强翻名词了，嗯嗯。。。 |
