1. Please see the in.* file in the folder of lammps/example/shear. If you are not able to find it, please click the following link as a reference. https://github.com/lammps/lammps/tree/master/examples/shear From which you can see how the author define the boundary and main body, and how he/she applies the velocity proportionally changed over the domain of interest. 2.
