荷兰-埃因霍芬理工大学 光电子,光通信,微电子与固体电子学方向 environment eindhoven is one of the most inventive cities, where the famous companies locate, such as philips, nxp semiconductors (formerly philips semiconductors), asml etc.. eindhoven university of technology (tu/e) is one of europe's top technological universities, situated at the heart of a most innovative high-tech region. the candidate will work in the interfaculty institute for photonic integration (ipi) and electro-optical communication systems (eco) group (https://www.tue.nl/universiteit/ ... ommunications-eco/) in the department of electrical engineering. the ipi performs research in the area of broadband telecommunication techniques, encompassing optical communication as well as radio communication. research challenges nowadays, the scaling of data center demands for better optical interconnects with larger bandwidth, higher density and lower power dissipation.in order to keep this roadmap, optical transceivers keep migrating closer to the processors. co-integration of electronic and optical components has been promoted as a promising solution for an ever smaller module. the aim of the 4-year phd research project is to investigate novel methods for opto-electronic integration. the work will focus on both electronic and optical aspects to achieve 800 gb/s up to 1.6 tb/s data capacity, including design and fabrication of high speed circuits and integrated passive devices, design and fabrication of micro-lens and mirrors. flip chip bonding technology will be employed for the novel compact modules. requirements master of science degree in electrical engineering or in applied physics familiar with optical and electronic laboratory measurement equipment, semiconductor devices physics and technology and electronic circuits familiar with integration technologies good communication skills fluent in english application: if interested, please send a detailed cv and a letter of motivation to chenhui.li(at)tue.nl Additional requirement: cleanroom experience [ Last edited by 真空涨落 on 2019-1-4 at 16:18 ] |
