澳大利亚UWA Yit-Heng Chooi 教授招聘天然产物生物合成方向博后

the Chooi research group (The University of Western Australia) in collaboration with Dr. Andrew Piggott at Macquarie University and industry partners (MSTt and AVT) have recently won $3m from the Australian commonwealth government（under the CRC-P scheme） for research on discovery of new antibiotics from australian microbes. http://www.news.uwa.edu.au/20180 ... -bugs#opennewwindow https://www.medianet.com.au/releases/166115/ the project will involve the use of state-of-art genome mining tools to discover new antibiotics and biosynthetic pathways. the project will have access to microbial culture collection of nearly 500,000 strains, where hundreds of them will be sequenced under this project. the chooi group is seeking to recruit a postdoc of high calibre to embark on this project as soon as possible (recent phd graduates are encourage to apply). about you with prior experience working with genetic manipulation of actinomycete bacteria, knowledge on microbial natural product biosynthesis logic and strategies for microbial genome mining of natural products; you will be a driven and collaborative post-doctoral scholar looking to advance your research career. as a passionate researcher, you will also have the following: 1. relevant degree and ph.d. qualification in microbiology, molecular biology, chemistry or related field 2. good track record of discipline-specific first-author publication(s) 3. well-developed organisational skills and ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines 4. ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team 5. well-developed written and verbal communication skills 6. knowledge of safety issues relating to the use of laboratory equipment and chemicals desirable skills such as experience with microbial natural product analysis, isolation and structural elucidation, streptomyces heterologous biosynthetic pathway expression and expression, purification and assaying biosynthetic enzymes would be highly considered. 广告已经发在学校的网站上了。 if interested please apply through this link at uwa website http://external.jobs.uwa.edu.au/ ... icationsubsourceid= any query about the position and the research environment, please contact Dr. Yit-Heng Chooi, ARC Future fellow and lab head, School of Molecular Sciences, email: yitheng.chooi@uwa.edu.au. |
