Regarding the question I asked about the molar ratio of catalyst-to-substrate, you mention that it is similar to previous studies, and also you state that your studies were conducted "under true catalytic conditions". However, a simple calculation shows that if 25 mg of Bi2O3/BiOBr is used for 0.5 mg of Rhodamine, the "catalyst" is actually loaded in about 50-fold excess as compared to dye substrate! Although only surface species are catalytically active, the loading of the bulk Bi compound is far too large to consider these conditions as catalysis. Can you quantify how much Bi (surface) species is active? In my opinion it is necessary to clarify this issue, to see whether or not your paper really falls within the scope of the journal.
