He worked in Argonne National Laboratory after his postdoc researcher career in Florida State University/National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. He main research areas are focusing on Chemical/nano materials for optical/electric/energy/magnetic devices: such as halide perovskite for solar cell and light emitting, dye sensitive solar cell, electrochromism, sensors, fluorescence, et al. He has been working on several projects funded by NSF with publications on top journals such as Angewandte Chemie (VIP and highly cited)£¬ACS Nano£¬Nano Energy, ACS Energy Lett., Chem. Commu. He has over 20 presentations including international invited talks. He has good collaboration with Argonne National Laboratory, University of Tennessee at Knoxville and lots of international universities. Dr. Jiang is also serving as managing editor for Engineered Science and ES Materials & Manufacturing, editorial board for Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials, and reviewer for journals such as, J. Mat. Chem. A, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Chem. Comm., RSC Advances, Dalton Transactions, Polymer, et al. |

Description: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Chemistry & Physics, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The position entails the fabrication and optimization of optical-electric devices. The successful candidate is expected to be competent in one or several of the following areas: i) Wet, surface and interface chemistry, halide perovskite; ii) Crystal growth and nano material analysis; iii) Thin film deposition techniques such as CVD; iv) Spectroscopy techniques such as Photoluminescence, Transient absorption/ reflection, Transient photovoltage/photocurrent, and Impedance spectroscopy; v) Electroluminescence; vi) Electrochemical characterization; and vii) Advanced material characterization techniques such as AFM, TEM, SEM and XRD. Other duties for the position include working with, and providing guidance to, undergraduate and graduate students, writing technical reports and papers, and presenting results at technical conferences. Minimum Qualifications: ¡¤ A Ph.D. degree in one of the following disciplines: Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or a closely related discipline. ¡¤ Demonstrated research experience in at least one competency area listed in the position description. Priority will be given to a candidate who has experience in fabrication and optimization of optical-electric devices such as light emitting devices, capacitor, solar cells, batteries, and sensors. ¡¤ Experience in research proposal writing and a record of publications in technical journals. Preferred Qualifications: ¡¤ Experience in working with LabVIEW software. ¡¤ Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. ¡¤ Ability to work independently and self-motivated. This position is open to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. Salary: Commensurate with experience and education.
