Director, Chemical Process Engineering
We are seeking a high potential individual with strong leadership, high energy and technical skills who is able to drive the development of an R&D group active in the scouting and development of new, effective natural extracts and concentrates from botanical sources which are useful building blocks for the creation of perfumes and flavors.
Job responsibilities:
•       Build, develop & lead a research team of mostly young scientists; Provide them necessary scientific and technical mentoring and on-the-job training.
•       Contribute to formulate and implement the company development strategy in the relevant fields.
•       Develop technology in the relevant field; Propose & manage research projects.
•       Develop new & effective natural products as useful building blocks for perfumery and flavors applications.
•       Develop & manage external relationships for the development of new products and technologies in the targeted field.
•       Develop strong relationship with internal partners from the business, supply chain and innovation community.
•       Oversee and ensure the proper application of health and safety standards in own discipline.
Profile:
•       PhD or MS degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or biochemical engineering.
•       At least seven years research, pilot, or industry experience in related field.
•       Demonstrated successful leadership in management of projects in a global context.
•       Analytical thinking and critical problem solving skills.
•       Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently.
•       Excellent communication skills and experience of collaboration with other researchers.
•       International experience would be asset.
•       Fluent in English and Chinese or willingness to learn Chinese.
