Ph.D. openings (Strong Master's applicants are also considered) with full financial support (RA assistantship + full tuition scholarship + health insurance benefit, around $30,000 per year) are available starting from Spring 2019 in the Dept of Computer Science and engineering at University of North Texas, working with Dr. Wei Jin (https://www.cse.unt.edu/~weijin/). The areas are text and Web mining, information retrieval, graph mining, and their various applications. Motivated students with strong problem-solving skills, solid computer science, and math background as well as programming skills are encouraged to apply. Students with previous experience in data mining and machine learning are highly welcomed. If interested, please email Dr. Wei Jin (wei.jin@unt.edu) with the subject “Ph.D./MS Application” and the following information in Pdf format: (1) resume, (2) Unofficial Transcript, and (3) a statement of your interest and qualifications. Review of applications starts immediately. Generally, as long as you make satisfactory progress, three years can be guaranteed for completing the Ph.D. study.
