Water Optics Technology Pte Ltd seek for enthusiastic team plays Water Optics Technology Pte. Ltd. (WOT) is a high-tech Singapore company aiming to provide revolutionary automatic quality monitoring solutions for drinking water and treated “new” water in response to the growing awareness of water safety. With strong support from government organization, Nanyang Technological University and environmental and water research institutions, the company is going to launch its first automatic monitoring system, the Parasitometer, very soon. To expend the R&D team for rapid design refinement standardization and quality assessment and control, the company will need to recruit experience engineers in the below areas. The company offers attractive remuneration package, medical insurance, 5 days work per week and attractive career path. 1. Senior / Optical System Design Engineer Key responsibilities: • Determine (optical) component/product specifications and interface requirements • Translate product requirements into a functional optical sensing/detection system • Design and refine modular sub-system and build test platform for optical and fluidic filtration modules • Provide tolerance specifications for mechanical structures and holders based on tolerances of optical components and stability requirement of the optical module • Collaborate with mechanical designers to assure the optical module meet wavelength scale precision and repeatability • Design test procedures to evaluate critical optical components and the stability of the optical module • Conduct system level testing and write up technical report Essential skills: • Should possess a bachelor or higher degree in one of the engineering field: optical engineering, electrical & electronic/material engineering, Material science or physics etc.) • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in optical design and system development areas • Experience on precision optical system alignment, installation and problem solving • Capability to develop testing methods for system validation and calibration tests. • Strong interest to work in a multidisciplinary team • Experience using optical design software such as ZeMax is value added • Experience on opto-microfluidic sensing device would have priority for the position • Senior candidate in optical R&D will be assigned to a leader position. 2. Senior / Software Engineer Key responsibilities: • Investigate and solve exciting challenges in pattern recognition and classification problem in water inspection system. • Refine the existing microbial detection algorithms and improve the quality of algorithmic results; • Work closely with hardware engineers to design, implement and deploy full-stack machine learning solution for real-time automotive optical instrumentation system; Essential requirements for position: • Have a MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent degree along 2 plus years work experience in a related industry; • Have strong proficiency in programming/debugging skills in Python and C++; • Self-starter/motivator, passionate team player, analytical, tenacious problem solver; • Good in English writing and communication skills; • Candidate with knowledge and experience on electronic hardware and embedded system would have priority for the position. • Familiarizing with imaging capturing system and experience in SW development on Embedded Linux is also a plus. 3. Senior Hardware/FPGA Engineer Key responsibilities: • Design optical imaging system and machine learning system to address business needs across our optical instrumentation platforms • Demonstrate the FPGA based deep learning enhanced algorithm to replace to current pattern recognition algorithm with higher speed; • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to drive cost optimisation, manufacturability, quality assessment and control and system level stability and reliability in water plan environment; • Possess a passion and self-motivation for continuous innovation for new methodology and designs to lead the pre-product prototype to international market. Essential requirements for position: • Have a bachelor or master degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field; • Have 4 ~ 5 years of experience on experience on application processor based circuit design and power system design; • Have experience in Altera, Xilinx, or Actel FPGAs development environment; • Have proven capability to utilize relevant testing equipment to carry out electronics hardware and product level testing, problem shooting and validation; • Experience on noise reduction techniques/countermeasures and highspeed layout; • Familiarize CMOS sensors and CSI-2 interface; • Capable to use High Level Synthesis languages such as C and C++ in hardware design; • Candidate with experience in deep/machine learning algorithm or hardware development would have priority for the position.
