深圳大学青年千人郑家荣教授招聘副研究员及博士后

The Cancer Prevention Lab is located at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) of Shenzhen University in Shenzhen, China. IAS provides a strong research and educational environment. Dr. Ka Wing CHENG, 1000 Young Talent Program awardee and Principal Investigator of Special National Key Research and Development Plan of China, leads the lab of Cancer Prevention. The goals of his team are to develop effective and novel strategies for the prevention and/or treatment of cancers and to train promising scholars to become independent investigators. Their work covers different aspects of cancer control which mainly includes the following three areas: 1. Developing inhibitory strategies to mitigate the content of cancer causing agents in foods; investigating interactions between phytochemicals and chemical reactions in food during thermal processing; and characterizing mechanisms of action 2. Developing novel phytochemical derivatives with potent anti-cancer and/or anti-inflammatory effect; developing synergistic combinations to realize optimal efficacy with reduced potential side effects; characterizing molecular action mechanisms 3. Developing optimal delivery systems for pharmaceutical leads we have identified. These include, but not limited to aerosol delivery in rodent models of pulmonary disorders, particularly lung cancer; and nanoparticle formulation to improve pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of pharmaceutical leads. The Cancer Prevention Lab invites applications for the following positions: 1. Postdoctoral associates Eligibility a) Under the age of 35 b) Obtained PhD degree for no more than 3 years b) Published research papers in journals of relevant research areas Benefits a) Very competitive salary (~RMB 300k /year) b) Generous bonus program c) Potential for application of local monetary awards 2.
