| In their conclusions, the authors should state the relevant in vivo concentrations of folate and some of the potential interfering molecules. The concentration of folate is between 10 and 20 ng/mL while the concentration of free tryptophan is around 10 ug/mL. This will present a serious hurdle for the authors as they push their method's relevance. They will need to increase the selectivity. But they must give their study this context. |
