| Figure 6 displays the cyclic voltammograms of QH2 in dilute buffered acetonitrile. A new peak appears at 0.75 V in curve b of figure 6. It reveals that diethylamine can be oxidised in acetonitrile. Therefore, the scan range is selected from -0.8 V to 0.4 V when buffer of diethylamine and perchloric acid is used. When a dilute buffer of 0.2 mmol L-1 perchloric acid and 0.4 mmol L-1 diethylamine is introduced in test solution, a peak ocurres at -0.35 V. Figure 6 shows that the peak magnitude increases with increasing the concentration of buffer. As the diethylamine concentration exceeds 5 mM, the peak current of QH2 in acetonitrile become independent of the buffer of perchloric acid and diethylamine. Figue 5 and figure 6 reveal that the effect of buffer in acetonitrile is similar to that in aqueous solution. |

Figue 5 and Figure 6 reveal that the effect of buffer in acetonitrile is similar to that in aqueous solution. |
