洪堡基金会对于奖学金申请人的一封回复邮件的分享 已有2人参与

洪堡奖学金是国际上规模最大、管理最好，也因此最负盛名的机构性奖学金项目。洪堡奖学金的经费主要来自德国外交部，所以，这主要是德国吸引和培养学术精英，输出德国软实力的一个举措。 基金会有针对青年博士后的传统奖学金，还有面向资深研究人员的所谓“洪堡奖”；两者的学术地位都非常地高，因为洪堡有个口号：一次洪堡，终身洪堡。入了洪堡，就算正式加入了一个终身被待见的高口味的学术俱乐部。 洪堡其实是亲兄弟二人，哥哥是威廉洪堡，做过普鲁士教育部长、是倡导寓教于动手实践相结合的教育家；而弟弟则是终身四处学术周游，去过100多个国家，跟各国科学家有过4万多或者8万多封信件的博物学家。洪堡奖学金的名字来自弟弟亚历山大，是依他的个性、口碑品牌所树立的，鼓励优秀的青年学子走出去和请进来。 现在洪堡每年有600多个奖学金发放，其中中国和印度是最大的申请人群体。中方每年全学科的通过者人数约在80个人上下。 下面是一个洪堡基金会申请部主管对一位中方申请人的回复，其中有很多有意思的信息和内容。 （提示申请材料完整，但是评审结果要等11月份才知道，而当下的申请通过率只有三分之一左右：奖学金通过后，也需要最早两个月最晚一年起动, 等等。） Dear Professor Dr. XXX, Thank you very much for your application. Your application documents are complete. A final decision is planned for the Selection Committee Meeting in November 2018. Unfortunately, a decision at an earlier date will not be possible. We will inform you about the committee's decision immediately after the Selection Committee Meeting. We wish you every success, but must point out that currently only one third of all applications submitted can be approved. Please observe the following information: - At any time during the selection process, you may submit any additional letters of acceptance from publishers if they refer to papers already cited in the list as “submitted for publication”. - For administrative reasons, sponsorship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation can usually only begin two months after the Selection Committee Meeting at the earliest. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will determine the exact starting date of the research stay upon award of the fellowship. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation makes every effort to accommodate the dates you request. Therefore, please keep us informed of any updates to your time schedule, in accordance with the above-mentioned requirements. - You must start the fellowship period within twelve months of being selected. Otherwise you will have to submit a new application. - In the event that your application is rejected, you and your host may request to be informed of the factors that lead to this decision. Please contact us by e-mail if you would like to make use of this option. - Please inform us immediately of any changes in your contact details so that we are able to reach you at any time.
