Postdoctoral Fellow ( 1 post )
Appointment period: 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for another 12 months.

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Functional genomics analysis and drug discovery using automated high content imaging system". The goal of this project is to identify novel lead compounds against cancers, and to identify potential cancer therapeutic targets, using high throughput screening (imaging or functional screens) strategies. He/She will be required to:

(a)  develop image- or bioactivity-based screening assays for high content imaging or high throughput screening analysis;
(b)  design and programming of the automation workflow from cell culture to compound dispensing to data acquisition;
(c)  perform quantitative analysis of the imaging or bioactivity data;
(d)  carried out any other duties as assigned by the project leader, or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a PhD degree and a track record in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Confocal imaging, Drug discovery, or related disciplines. While the one with high-throughput drug screening experience is preferred.
