Some key information:
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is an Australian public research university located in the Sydney suburb of Kensington. Established in 1949, it is regarded as one of the world's leading universities, ranked 3rd in Australia, 45th in the world, and 1st in New South Wales according to the 2017 QS World University Rankings.
Chuan Zhao is a Professor in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales, and is currently an ARC Future Fellow and the Chair of Electrochemistry Division Royal Australian Chemical Institute (EDRACI). His research interest focuses on developing nanoelectrochemistry technologies, and discovering novel nanomaterials, and their implications for clean energy and biomedicine applications. His team is also interested in ionic liquids chemistry and their applications for electrochemical energy conversion and storage and sustainable chemistry. We are exploring these new electrode and electrolyte materials for electrocatalysis and applications in water splitting for generation of hydrogen fuel, oxygen reduction for fuel cells and lithium-air batteries, and gas sensors. Professor Zhao has published five book chapters and 8 patents and more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier multidisciplinary journals including Nature Group journals, which have attracted over 3000 citations.
Xianjue Chen is an ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales. Dr Chen received PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Western Australia, followed by working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (CMCM) at UNIST in South Korea. His research focuses on the synthesis, structures, properties, and applications of nano-carbon based materials including graphene, graphene oxide, fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, nano-onions, ¡°peapods¡±, and carbon foams and foils, as well as other two-dimensional (2D) materials and nanoparticles. He has published 1 book chapter and >40 peer-reviewed journal articles.
Yiling Zhong is an ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales. Dr. Zhong received her PhD degree in Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM), Soochow University. Her research interests include the design and synthesis of novel silicon-based nanomaterials, and their utilization for biological applications, as well as self-assemble of soft materials and surface science. She has authored over 35 peer-reviewed papers with an impact factor (IF) larger than 3.0, 8 of which were published on the top chemistry journals J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. The number of citation is more than 1800, the H-Index is up to 24.
