卢森堡卫生研究院博士后招聘(2018卢森堡&新加坡合作项目)
2 Post-Doctoral Researchers at the crossroads of proteomics and imaging
2 year fixed-term contract, full time, start date: 1st April 2018
We are seeking two highly motivated post-doctoral researchers to study the spatio-temporal control of TGF beta signalling in epithelial cells. The project combines state-of-the-art cell biological (CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing), proteomics (multiplex quantitative proximity proteomics) and imaging (light and electron microscopy, correlative imaging, 3D tomography) techniques to address the role of endocytic trafficking in the regulation of this fundamental signalling pathway.
The project is a collaboration between the Dittmar laboratory at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) and the Sandin/Ludwig laboratory at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and so offers the unique opportunity to work in both Europe and Asia. Both laboratories have strong expertise in their respective fields and joined to understand how TGF beta signaling is regulated in time and space. Successful candidates will be employed at the LIH and have the opportunity to spend half of the project time in Singapore. The proteomics laboratory at LIH is equipped with the latest instrumentation in high-resolution mass spectrometry. Close collaborations with other groups at LIH offer a broad spectrum of additional cutting-edge techniques. The Sandin/Ludwig lab is part of the NTU Institute of Structural Biology (NISB), and is equipped with the latest high-end electron microscopes for cryoEM and cellular EM imaging (Titan Krios, Arctica), various light microscopes, and EM sample preparation equipment.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
▪ PhD in the fields of either Structural Biology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry
▪ Expertise in working with cell cultures and/or molecular biology tools
▪ Experience in electron microscopy and/or light microscopy
▪ Experience in proteomics techniques and/or protein biochemistry
▪ Knowledge about signaling mechanisms in mammalian cells
▪ Demonstrable capacity to communicate science, and perform multiple research tasks under time and resource constraints
Fluency in English is mandatory (English is the working language).
More information on the participating partner labs can be found here: www.lih.lu/dittmar,

Researchers are supported by easy access to scientific expertise, well-equipped facilities, an active seminar program as well as the possibility for close collaborations with the university and other research institutes.
Located in Luxembourg, LIH offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international and multilingual environment that values personal respect and professional achievement based on the highest intellectual and ethical standards. The remuneration for this position shall be based on qualification and experience.
Applications including a cover letter, a CV, list of publications and names of two referees should be submitted by 1st April 2018 through our website www.lih.lu/jobs. Ref.: VD/PDR1217/GD/GENPRO |
