[交流] 美国马里兰大学医学院招博士后（有IPSC 和 Sequencing 经验的优先考虑）已有3人参与

A fulltime position postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Sunjay Kaushal’s and Dr. Deqiang Li’s Laboratories, in the Center for Vascular and Inflammatory Diseases at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
One of my research focuses in the lab is to understand the mechanisms of Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a congenital heart defect with very poor prognosis even after surgical correction. We also endeavor to treat this disease using stem cell approach. Induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSCs) derived from HLHS patients will be a major platform for exploring these research interests.
Many state of the art techniques are employed, such as RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq, real time imaging and advanced microscopy, multicolor flow and sorting etc. The University of Maryland School of Medicine has a group of outstanding scientists in cardiovascular research, especially in cardiovascular cell signaling, diabetes, endothelial biology, and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with them and get help in developing an independent career in this research field.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent degree. We are seeking talented and self-motivated postdoctoral candidates with a good work ethic, and a strong interest in cardiovascular research. Candidates with background and experience in iPSCs and sequencing are preferred. Good writing and oral communication skills in English are required as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
