[交流] PhD study at University of Otago, New Zealand

PhD Scholarships are available at the University of Otago!

Otago University is in Dunedin, a university town on the South-East coast of New Zealand's South Island. Dunedin sits on a spectacular harbour, with unspoiled beaches for wildlife and surfing, and lies within a few hours' drive of Queenstown and Wanaka in the Southern Alps. Applications are sought for PhD positions in areas of parallel/distributed computing, computer networks, operating systems, computer architectures, especially on topics like multicore computing, high performance computing, distributed event-based systems, body sensor networks, distributed stream processing, etc. at the Department of Computer Science in the University of Otago, New Zealand's top-ranked university for research quality.

To be considered for admission to the Computer Science department's PhD programme, applicants must have completed an MSc/Honors degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a relevant subject. The MSc/Honors degree must have a research project worth at least 25% of a full-time load in their final year.

To be considered for a PhD scholarship, applicants must have
(1) an 'A' average or better in their MSc/Honors study,
(2) strong analytical/experimental skills,
(3) solid background in relevant areas,
(4) good communication skills in English (both oral and written)
(5) previous research experience in relevant areas is a plus.

Otago's PhD scholarships are open to qualified students from any country, and cover both course fees and living expenses.
