Reviewers' comments: EiC: As written, the paper has limited relevance to our readership. Please better ground the paper in recent papers on future selection from Pattern Recognition and cognate journals. The title is rather clumsy and un-grammatical. I suggest you change it to something like Class-specific mutual information variation for feature selection. Also please check the grammar in the paper carefully. Reviewer #1: Earlier comments have all been well addressed. The authors did a great job. I have no more concern on this paper. Thanks. ---- I agree with Reviewer #1 and have carefully reviewed R1 myself. The authors have also done a job with English in revision.
