sorry, I've never tried that. But I know that Fe will go out anyway to promote the formation of a layer of carbon, which is really bad for the contact or bonding between the diamond layer and the underlying substrate. So I guess the deposition process or at least the nucleation process should be very quick. Also the difference in thermal expansion rate between diamond and metals would be another serious issue. |
