| For A, the values of pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order rate equations were 0.99 and 0.90, respectively, suggesting that adsorption processes can be well described by the pseudo-first-order kinetic model, indicating the physical adsorption is the rate limiting step. For AB1, AB2 and AB3, it was observed that most of the values were superior to 0.99, and theoretical values qe were close to experimental values qe. As a result, the adsorption Pb(II) by AB1, AB2 and AB3 appears to follow pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order reaction kinetics, and was physical and chemical interaction. Similar conclusions were also reported by the earlier researchers, who studied the most of the adsorption systems follow pseudo-first-order or pseudo-second-order kinetic model. |
