But¡¡in the case of m-LaVO4, it is an unstable active phase that cannot¡¡stabilize the surface active sites, which are oxygen vacancies¡¡associated with V4+ ions. Therefore m-LaVO4 is not regarded¡¡as a good candidate.9 The catalytic performances of both m-(as indicated in Figure 1a, noted as sample a) and t-LaVO4 (as¡¡indicated in Figure 5a,c, noted as samples b and c, respectively¡¡at 500 ¡ãC within 240 min are shown in Figure 10. For samples¡¡a and b, whose BET surface areas are almost the same (56.0¡¡and 59.9 m2/g, respectively), the C3H8 conversion of sample b¡¡is much higher than that of sample a. Even for sample c, whose¡¡BET surface area (7.1 m2/g) is much smaller, a relatively higher¡¡C3H8 conversion could be achieved. The selectivity of the¡¡reaction is somewhat lowered for both b and c, but the great¡¡increase of C3H8 conversion can compensate this loss, leading¡¡to an enhanced yield of C3H6.¡± [ Last edited by wellok101 on 2009-2-28 at 22:33 ] |
