The First International Contest of Application in Nano-micro Technology (iCAN’2009) 第一届微纳米应用技术国际大赛 第一轮通知 The First International Contest of Application in Nano-micro Technology (iCAN'2009), is a global contest for young college students who is interested in Micro-Nano Technology, using Micro-Nano devices from sponsors to create new applications, which should be new driven power in the future marketing. Participants 1) Undergraduate, Graduated Students can participant iCAN2009 by team from country or region ( include China, USA, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong). 2) How to join iCAN2009 l Organizing a team with 2-3 students, and preparing abstract of project which must utilize Micro/Nano devices (the devices from sponsors are free for all teams) l Registering on iCAN2009 website (http://www.ican2009.com) before March 31th l The organization committee will review project proposals before April 20th l May 1st, iCAN2009 participant team list, devices will be shipped to all teams l Team work on iCAN project from May to Sep. l Domestic Contest Done by October, the final list will be announced at Oct.31th l Jan. 20-23, 2010: Final Contest Awards Important Dates 1st Prize: 3000 USD/each; Jan.-March, 2009: Promotion 2nd Prize: 2000 USD/each; April-Sep., 2009: Domestic Contest 3nd Prize: 1000 USD/each; Oct. 31th, 2009: Final List Special awards: 500 USD Jan. 20-23, 2010: Final Contest at IEEE-NEMS2010, Xiamen International Committee China: Haixia (Alice) Zhang USA: Chihming Ho Japan: Masayoshi Esashi Germany: Helmut Seidel Singapore: Lerwen Liu Taiwan: Gwobin Lee Hongkong: Wenjun Li Sponsors l MEMSIC, China Star, Nano-Micro, Microsensing, Intellisense, Nippon Signal (Some are pending) l How to become iCAN2009 sponsor? 1. Submit application form to iCAN2009 by Email or Fax before Feb.1st, 2009. 2. Select sponsor type and sign contract with iCAN2009 by Feb. 28th, 2009. 3.
