读博期间想出国交换或访学，教授回复这个，是什么意思呢？

There is no effective way of doing a project of your own choosing at USC, because we do not have a PhD exchange program with China. We do host students from abroad for short stays from time to time (we had one from Netherlands this past summer) but they work on ongoing projects in the Group.
