澳大利亚新南威尔士大学 UNSW 金属3D打印 博士招生PhD positions in metal 3D Printing (additive manufacturing) Two PhD positions are available at The University of New South Wales (QS world ranking 49th, Sydney, Australia) in the field of additive manufacturing of metal matrix composites. The projects include design and fabrication of novel metal matrix composites using cutting-edge metal additive manufacturing facilities and also characterisation of the mechanical and functional properties of the fabricated composites using advanced techniques. The potential student should have relevant background (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. The student should have a GPA > 85, IELTS > 6.5 (minimum 6 in each sub-test) or TOEFL > 90 (minimum 23 in writing and 22 in other sub-tests). Understanding of solidification process and skills of microstructure characterisation using electron microscopy are advantages.
