Graduate Research Assistant

Two research assistantships are available for graduate students (Masters) in the area of environmental engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). Research areas include water and wastewater treatment by using nanotechnologies and bioelectrochemical systems, and impacts of nanomaterials on microorganisms in the environment. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science (or equivalent), be self-motivated and has good hands-on skills.
