Job Description:
Dr. Xiong’s Nanoscale Energy Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno has openings starting Spring 2018 for motivated PhD students and self-funded master's students in the area of materials, thermal engineering, and/or electrochemical engineering.
The student will be expected to conduct research in the areas of materials for electrochemical energy storage & conversion applications and related thermal management.

About Reno/Tahoe Area
Reno is on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe and its magnificent recreational opportunities, and 3 to 4 hours from San Francisco and Silicon Valley. In addition, companies such as Apple and Amazon have launched facilities in Reno.
