The university

The candidate
The applicants should have a Bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related disciplines. Masters with research experience are preferred. Skills in computational mechanics, FE modelling, structural analysis and materials testing are desirable.
English requirement: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; or TOEFL overall 92 with no section less than 20.
Remuneration
This is a full-time PhD position. The candidate will be expected to apply for an international scholarship (see?http://www1.rmit.edu.au/browse;ID=87h8ft98hxkc ). The scholarship will provide tuition fees ($36,480 per annum) for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of a 6 month extension, and a stipend of $30,000 per annum.
