RMIT has received recognition for world class research well supported by competitive grants and industry funding. In 2017 QS world rankings Civil and Structural Engineering at RMIT was ranked among the top 100 in the world based on academic reputation, research citations and employer satisfaction.? The candidate The applicants should have a Bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related disciplines. Masters with research experience are preferred. Skills in computational mechanics, FE modelling, structural analysis and materials testing are desirable. English requirement: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; or TOEFL overall 92 with no section less than 20. Remuneration This is a full-time PhD position. The scholarship will provide tuition fees ($36,480 per annum) for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of a 6 month extension, and a stipend of $30,000 per annum.
