Training Workshop (Supported by NSF): Modulation of Tomato/Blueberry Fruit Size and Flavor by Short Tandem Target Mimic (STTM) and Artificial microRNA (amiRNA) Åàѵ°à£ºÍ¨¹ý¶Ì´®ÁªÄ£°Ð£¨STTM£©ºÍÈËÔì΢СRNA£¨amiRNA£©¼¼Êõµ÷½Ú·¬ÇÑ/À¶Ý®¹ûʵ´óСºÍ·çζ We use tomato as well as blueberry fruit as a model to modulate the expression of miR396 and so change their fruit sizes. You will learn tomato or blueberry genetic transformation as well as STTM and amiRNA technologies. This training workshop will invite 5 experts and recruit 10 students to be trained for 10 days. We will cover the travel and lodging cost for the students and invited speakers. The students will learn also gene construction for STTM and amiRNA for future independent research after the training.
